The Nepal Engineering Council Registration Examination for engineering is a comprehensive assessment designed to evaluate the proficiency and knowledge of aspiring engineers.
According to the provisions of the Nepal Engineering Council Act, 2055 (as amended in 2079) and the Nepal Engineering Council Regulations, 2057 (as amended in 2080), no individual or entity shall practice engineering without registration with the Council. Additionally, the Council must recognize all engineering educational qualifications or degrees.
The Nepal Engineering Council issued a notice on Bhadra 17, 2082, revising the marking scheme for the Common Registration Examination for the general registered category of engineers. According to the NEC, the examination, which was previously conducted with 100 full marks, comprising 60 one-mark questions and 40 two-mark questions, has been revised.
