MECEE-BL 2026

The Medical Education Common Entrance Examination for Bachelor Level Programs, abbreviated as MECEE BL, is a medical entrance examination held in Nepal for individuals aspiring to pursue health professional Education (MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, BASLP, B.Perfusion Technology, BAMS, BNS, BSc MLT, BSc MIT, B.Pharm, B.Optometry, BPT and BPH).

Conducted by the Medical Education Commission, this examination is designed for both Nepali and international candidates seeking admission to medical professional education programs. Various universities, affiliated colleges, and academies throughout Nepal offer these programs.

The Medical Education Commission has experimented with various formats for the Medical Education Common Entrance Examination for Bachelor Level Programs (MECEE-BL). In some years, there was a single examination for all programs, but now there are five separate exams held on consecutive days. The questions for all programs within the same cluster are identical, and the merit lists for these five clusters are published at different times. Students can choose from the available options within their cluster. The five clusters are:

  1. MBBS
  2. BDS
  3. BSc Nursing/B.Sc Midwifery, BASLP, B Perfusion Technology
  4. BAMS, BNS/BMS, BSc MLT, BSc MIT, B Pharm, B Optometry, BPT
  5. BPH

 About Entrance examination and admission:

  1. There will be 200 MCQs of 'single best response' type. One mark will be given for each correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for a wrong answer. The duration of exam will be 3 hours.
