United Technical School UTS is hosting a Coffee Workshop this month as part of its practical and industry-focused approach to culinary and hospitality training. The workshop invites students, coffee enthusiasts, and anyone interested in Nepal’s expanding coffee culture. Participants will explore coffee processing literature and brewing methods using beans from different processing techniques.
The session will be led by UTS instructor and Nuwa Estate Quality Controller Mr Lal Bahadur. He will guide attendees through simple brewing practices, including the use of a French press, while sharing insights into flavour development and processing styles.
Each ticket includes a tasting experience featuring four varieties of coffee. This component aims to deepen appreciation of flavour profiles and brewing approaches. Assistant Coordinator Divyashwori Bhattarai noted that the workshop reflects UTS’s commitment to offering immersive learning experiences that strengthen barista and culinary training.
