Since 2015, NHRC has organized this annual summit to promote dialogue among researchers, policymakers, and development partners, strengthening collaboration and advancing evidence-based decision-making. The summit will be held on 10–12 April 2026. The theme is “Health Research Governance for Evidence-Informed Decision Making and Implementation in Nepal.”
Aligned with Nepal’s National Health Policy 2019, the summit highlights health research as a key driver of public health and national development. However, a persistent gap remains: research findings often do not reach policymakers, limiting their impact.
The 12th National Summit aims to bridge this gap by fostering meaningful exchange between researchers and decision-makers, ensuring that innovative evidence guides policies addressing Nepal’s urgent health challenges.
The two-day event with the theme of “Health Research Governance for Evidence-Informed Decision Making and Implementation in Nepal” is scheduled as follows:
Abstracts are invited across 25 themes, including health governance, health financing, human resources for health, implementation research, NCDs, infectious diseases, environmental health, migration and health, mental health, UHC, clinical sciences, AI & digital health, nutrition, aging, occupational health, pharmaceuticals, traditional medicine, and research ethics.
