
Kathmandu University (KU) has officially kicked off its highly anticipated AI Conclave 2026 today at its central campus in Dhulikhel. Organized by the Artificial Intelligence Club (KUAIC) under the Department of Artificial Intelligence, the three-day event is set to run from January 12 to January 14.
The conclave, themed "Bridging Intelligence and Innovation," serves as the second phase of the university's broader "AI Convergence 2026" initiative. It follows the successful completion of the first phase, AI Canvas, which focused on foundational learning and bootcamps.
According to Ashim Shrestha, Chairman of the AI Club, the event aims to consolidate AI learning and innovation into a single, accessible platform. The conclave expects an attendance of over 5,000 participants, including students, researchers, industry leaders, startups, and policymakers.
