PharmD (Post Baccalaureate) is one of the most modern courses introduced. The program's goal is to familiarize graduate pharmacists with the clinical pharmacist's way of thinking and to provide them with training in the field of patient care. The first two years of the PharmD program are devoted to foundational courses on pharmacotherapeutics of various systems, clinical pharmacy practice, critical literature evaluation and research methodology, clinical pharmacokinetics, and clinical rotation in various hospital departments. The final six months of the program are devoted to a specialization internship.
Salient Features
PharmD (Post Baccalaureate) aims to produce pharmacists with the following abilities and skills:
- providing patient-centered care as a medication expert
- delivering patient care services through the evaluation of medication orders and prescriptions, prospective pharmacy review, and dispensing of medications
- providing drug information and education, and developing critical thought processes relative to drug information
- promoting public health and designing prevention, intervention, and educational strategies for individuals and communities to improve health and wellness
Eligibility
Students with a four-year BPharm degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 or an equivalent of 50% marks can apply for admission.

The application form can be collected from the Department of Pharmacy, Kathmandu University.
