Master of Arts (MA) in Hindi is offered in Tribhuvan University, Central Department of Hindi, Kirtipur. It a 2-year postgraduate course consisting of 4 semesters. The course essentially involves the study of literature, linguistics and philosophies of the Hindi language. Subjects included in the program are Hindi Poetry, Drama, Fiction, Literary Criticism, Literary History etc.
The program aims to familiarize students with intricate literature in the language and its diverse applications. Hindi is the second most spoken language in the world due to its popularity growing worldwide. Hindi language has its roots in the classical Sanskrit language. The language acquired its current form over many centuries, and numerous dialectical variations of Hindi still exist.
Eligibility
The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent degree recognized by Tribhuvan University.
