Purbanchal University has changed the name of its BCA program to BCA in Information Technology (BCA-IT). This strategic move, effective from the upcoming academic session, aims to better align the degree with global industry standards and enhance the employability of its graduates in the international market.
The Bachelor’s degree in BCA-IT aims to produce skilled computer software developers with a sound technical background and knowledge to develop well-designed, robust, and reusable computer-based solutions to a range of problems in businesses and industries.
BCA-IT graduates are prepared to enter fields such as Internet and intranet application design and development, system analysis, object-oriented programming, multimedia, testing and quality assurance, project management, or database design and administration.

The course aims to
- Train students to create solutions to the problems related to information systems in commercial , financial, governmental, or other types of organizations

Eligibility
The candidate must have passed:
- +2 or equivalent from any recognized university with a minimum of 45% marks or a minimum D grade in each subject with GPA 2.00 in aggregate.
Admission Criteria
- Students who have secured 45% in +2 or an equivalent level in any discipline can study the BCA-IT subject.
- After passing the entrance examination conducted by Purbanchal University, one becomes eligible to study in this program. For that, the application form can be submitted along with photocopies of your academic certificates, the application fee, and 3 copies of a passport-sized photo.
