The Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program of Tribhuvan University is 5 years, 10-semester program. Four Engineering Colleges of Nepal offers B.Arch course with affiliation from Tribhuvan University. The total number of B.Arch seats at Tribhuvan University is 175.
Architecture is the blend of art and science in designing physical structures that shape the environment in which we live, using creativity and a practical understanding of structures and materials to develop concepts, plans, specifications, and detailed drawings of buildings. Architects may also be involved in project feasibility studies, heritage study, urban planning, interior design, and landscape design. If you are interested in creating things, expressing them visually and art and design you can succeed and enjoy this career.
Eligibility
In case of Letter Grading System, students should have secured minimum "C" Grade in all subjects in Grade 11 and 12.
Admission Criteria
To be admitted for this course, the students are required to appear in an entrance exam held by Tribhuvan University. Apart from the entrance exam, students also need to go through an aptitude test conducted by IOE.
Students who pass these tests are then allowed to be admitted into TU-affiliated colleges on a merit basis.
Job Prospects
As an architect you may choose to go into general practice or specialize in commercial, historical building conservation, housing renovation, industrial or institutional developments anywhere in the world.
