Orchid International College (OIC), affiliated to Tribhuvan University, was established in 2010 AD and promoted by a group of experienced and dedicated academicians, computer engineers, management professionals, and a reputed software company of Nepal. The college is also offering programs with affiliation from Purbanchal University.

Salient Features

Orchid International College is fully dedicated in providing university curriculum to students. It is affiliated with Nepal's oldest and prestigious Tribhuvan University. In this regard it is conducting four years Bachelor of Information Technology Management program and Bachelor of computer science and IT.

Library

There are excellent collections of books and journals on computer science, management, Social science, mathematics and other related subjects. Students can issue books from library as per their needs. The library also maintains collections of audiovisual resources, eBooks, dissertations, annual reports, case studies and success stories of corporate houses, which keep the students updated with the latest in the field of management, information technology and other disciplines.

Computer Lab

The information technology infrastructure is a significant factor in providing quality education. To provide quality education focus should be given on practice based learning. To provide sufficient practice OIC is equipped with a state-of-the-art computer lab. Student can use computer at any time during college hour.

Digital Electronic lab

For the purpose of practical in digital logic, college has separate digital logic lab. This will enable students to acquire the essential knowledge of digital devices.

Admission Guidelines

For B.Sc. CSIT

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the B.Sc. CSIT program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Successful completion of 10+2 or an equivalent examination.
Must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.
A minimum grade of 'C' must be secured in each individual subject.
- Note for A-Level Students: Candidates applying with A-Level qualifications must have secured a minimum grade 'D' in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Admission Process:

To gain admission into the B.Sc. CSIT program, prospective students must follow these steps:

Application Form: Obtain and complete the Entrance Application Form. These forms are available at any college affiliated with or constituent to Tribhuvan University (TU) that offers the B.Sc. CSIT course.
Entrance Examination: Successfully pass the Entrance Examination conducted by the Institute of Science and Technology (IOST), Tribhuvan University.
Admission: Upon passing the entrance examination, eligible candidates can then secure admission at their desired colleges.
Important Note: Tribhuvan University (TU) Entrance Examination Application forms are universally available at all colleges offering the B.Sc. CSIT program.

For BITM

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for admission to the Bachelor of Information Technology Management (BITM) program, prospective candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

Educational Qualification: Applicants must have successfully completed a twelve-year schooling (10+2) or an equivalent examination. This qualification must be obtained from a university, board, or institution recognized by Tribhuvan University (TU).
Academic Performance: Candidates are required to have secured a minimum of second division (45%) or a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 1.8 in each subject at their 10+2 or equivalent level.

BITM Admission Process in Nepal

The admission process for the BITM program in Nepal involves several key steps:

CMAT Examination Eligibility: Students from any academic stream who meet the minimum academic performance criteria (45% or GPA 1.8 in each subject) are eligible to apply for the Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) examination. The CMAT exam is conducted by Tribhuvan University.
CMAT Pass Requirement: Successful completion of the CMAT examination is mandatory for all applicants.
Interview and Selection: Candidates who successfully pass the CMAT exam will be shortlisted for an interview. Based on their performance in the interview, students will be selected for admission to the BITM program.
Enrollment: Upon selection, qualified students will be formally admitted and become eligible to attend classes.

For BSW

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates applying for admission program must have successfully completed the PCL or 10+2 in business/commerce, Science or any equivalent course from any board or university recognized by Tribhuvan University.

For Bachelor of Arts in Computer Application (BCA)

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) program, prospective candidates must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification: Applicants must have successfully completed twelve years of schooling (10+2) or an equivalent examination. This qualification must be obtained from any university, board, or institution recognized by Tribhuvan University.
Academic Performance: Candidates are required to have secured a minimum of second division (45%) or a minimum 'C' grade in all subjects in their twelve-year schooling or equivalent examination.

Admission Criteria:

The admission process for the BCA program is competitive and involves the following steps:

Entrance Examination: Candidates must successfully pass an entrance examination conducted by the university.
Interview: Shortlisted candidates who pass the entrance examination will be called for an interview.
Selection: Based on their performance in both the entrance examination and the interview, eligible candidates will be selected for admission to the BCA program.

For Bachelor of Business Management (BBM)

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in BBM
