Manmohan Memorial Institute of Medical Sciences (MMIMS), established in 2064 BS under the management of Manmohan Memorial Institute of Health Science (MMIHS) at Dhachock, Chandragiri Municipality, just in front of the newly constructed tunnel, is one of the organizations of Nepal Health Care Cooperative (NECHO Nepal). 

MMIMS has its own 100-bed Manmohan Hospital in Dahachok, approved by the government of Bagmati Province. It offers PCL nursing, General Medicine (HA), a Diploma in Pharmacy, Diagnostic Radiography, and Medical Clinical Laboratory (CMLT) programs, all affiliated with the Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT).

Salient Features

LIBRARY:
MMIMS has a standaerd library which has required number of books of different program to meet the demand of the students.

LABORATORIES:
MMIMS has fully equipped laboratories for Biochemistry, Microbiology, Parasitology, Hematology, Histopathology, and Physiotherapy, as well as Pharmaceutics, Botany, Zoology, Anatomy, and Physiology, Nursing (FON, Midwifery, and Community), meeting all course requirements with functional facilities.

CANTEEN:
The MMIMS has a canteen that is clean and hygienic, providing affordable snacks and lunch for its students and staff, operating with a focus on non-profit.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES( ECA):
MMIMS students are encouraged to participate in ECAs to help promote their mental and physical development as part of their curriculum. Due to the spacious college grounds and a well-equipped gym, students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of indoor and outdoor games under the supervision of MMIMS's skilled staff.

TRANSPORTATION:
MMIMS' college provides transportation for students traveling from Kalanki and Solteemode to the college for their studies. The college buses transport students who live off-campus to and from college in the morning and afternoon. Students use college buses as a mode of transportation for community field trips.

COMMUNITY HEALTH:
Students participate in curriculum-based visits to different communities or villages to learn about the community's demographic profile, health indicators, health infrastructure, and health requirements. They also learn to draw community maps with the help of prominent features. They learn to communicate with people from different strata of society and enhance their leadership qualities. They also participate in different health awareness initiatives.

Admission Guidelines

The entry requirement for the TSLC level is SEE candidates appearing for the course of 18 months, whereas for the diploma programs, students must secure at least a 2 GPA. Diploma-level study on health programs: Criteria for SLC/SEE/TSLC graduates as mentioned by the CTEVT. Selection will be based on the merit list in descending order.

Educational Qualification for Certificate Level Nursing/Midwifery before the Letter Grading System

-Students should have passed SLC or equivalent from a recognized educational institution with compulsory subjects Mathematics, English, and Science, with at least second division or a minimum of 45% aggregate marks; or passed Technical SLC/Pre-Diploma level in a related subject of an ongoing program with a minimum aggregate score of 68.33%.

Educational Qualifications for other Health Programs after Letter Grading System

-Students should have passed SEE or equivalent from a recognized educational institution, having taken compulsory English, Mathematics, and Science subjects, with a minimum of 2.0 GPA; or passed Technical SLC/Pre-Diploma level in a related subject of an ongoing program with a minimum aggregate score of 68.33%.

Selection Process

  1. The eligibility for admission is determined based on the average Grade Point Average (GPA) obtained in the SEE examination. For this, the corresponding values are added to the obtained grades according to the criteria below. Similarly, for applicants who have academic qualifications based on the percentage system, their percentages will be converted into grades following the letter grading system issued by the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Curriculum Development Center, as per the “Letter Grading Directive, 2078 (Revised Edition)”.

  1. For students who have passed the SEE or SLC exams from government or community schools, 1 grade point will be added, and for students who passed from institutional schools, 0.85 grade points will be added.

  2. If students have obtained equal final grades, their individual subject grades will be reviewed in the following order of priority: Mathematics, Science, and English.

  3. If students still have the same final grades even after applying criterion (1), and (b), priority will be given to those who have passed S.L.C./S.E.E. from marginalized rural areas.

  4. If the final grades remain equal even after applying criteria (1), (b), and (c), priority will be given to the student with the earlier date of birth.
