Admission Guidelines

Students at IIMS undergo a rigorous selection procedure. The intake being limited, they are admitted through a properly conducted selection process at the national level. A rigorous three-tier system of screening is followed, i.e, an evaluation of the candidature and/or written test (where necessary) followed by the group discussion and personal interview. Due to the stringent selection criteria, only really deserving candidates are admitted.

B.Sc. (Hons) Computing

  • Candidates with a minimum of 50% and above in +2 and have a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics in SLC. Or,
  • Candidates with a minimum of 2 principal subjects in A-Level

BA (Hons) Hospitality Management

  • Candidates with 50% and above in +2,
  • Candidates with a minimum of 2 principal subjects in A-Level 

English Requirements (Only for Computing and Hospitality Management)

  • A score of 213 (computer-based) / 550 (writing-based) / 79-80 (Internet-based) in TOEFL Or,
  • Band 5.5 in IELTS,
  • Passing the English Placement Test (EPT) conducted by the University

Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS)

  • Passed equivalent 10+2 examination with a minimum 45% in any discipline,
  • Pass in A-Level with at least a credit in 2 subjects, including Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent. Or,
  • Pass the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least a grade B in 5 subjects, including Mathematics and English.
  • Graduate Diploma in Computing or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.5,
  • Candidates who obtained a CGPA below 2.5 but above 2.0 may be accepted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment process.
  • Graduate Diploma other than Computing with a CGPA of at least 2.5

Master of Computer Science (MCS)

  • Pass in Bachelor's degree related to computer science or equivalent.
  • Must have secured a minimum CGPA of 2.0 at Bachelor’s level.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

IIMS Scholarships are available to new students enrolled in any of the offered programs. Students can receive one award, provided they meet the scholarship conditions. Also, awards are distributed as tuition fee credits.

  • IIMS MERIT SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to 10% of enrolled students based on their previous academic performance and a scholarship test.

  • IIMS TALENT SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to 4 enrolled students based on acquired talent, pre-conditions other than the sports and management review.

  • IIMS COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to 4 enrolled students based on financial pre-conditions and management review.

  • IIMS EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded yearly to 2 enrolled students with consistent overall academic performance.

  • IIMS SPORTS SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to 4 enrolled students based on achieved sports accolades, pre-condition, and management review.

ABOUT US

IIMS (Institute of International Management Science), located in Dhobidhara, Kathmandu, has been offering various IT, Hospitality, and Management courses since 2010. It has established itself as one of the preferred colleges in Nepal for students aspiring to build careers in IT and Hospitality Management. Over time, IIMS has strengthened its partnerships with various industries, provided state-of-the-art infrastructure, employed experienced faculty members, and consistently met the expectations of students. This makes it an ideal place for pursuing a successful career.
