Himalaya College of Engineering (HCOE) in Nepal, affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU), was established in June 2000 AD. Its mission is to deliver high-quality engineering education and produce skilled engineers who play a pivotal role in the nation's development. HCOE offers Bachelor of Engineering programs in Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Bachelor of Architecture, along with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology (BSc CSIT) from the Institute of Science and Technology.
The college is managed by a capable team of seasoned professionals and academicians with extensive experience in the education sector. In May 2007, HCOE became part of the KMC Educational Network, resulting in program expansions and increased strength for the college.
Situated in Chyasal, Lalitpur, HCOE is easily accessible from all directions. The campus spans an area of 19 and a half Ropani and features a seven-story main building along with five laboratory buildings. The college strictly adheres to the academic and administrative standards set by IOE (Institute of Engineering).
To enhance the teaching-learning process, HCOE regularly conducts seminars, workshops, and training sessions throughout the semesters, complemented by field visits, project work, and practical experiences. The college is committed to providing quality education aligned with the current demands, aiding students in achieving their professional and educational aspirations. Graduates from the BE programs have demonstrated their professional competence in computer engineering, electronics and communication, civil engineering, and architecture sectors. HCOE students have consistently achieved top scores in IOE semester examinations, earning recognition both nationally and internationally.
In addition to academic excellence, HCOE places a strong emphasis on extracurricular activities. It hosts inter-college and intra-college sports competitions annually. Notably, its robotics team secured first place (Grand Prix) in an inter-engineering college competition in Kathmandu in 2065. HCOE students have also participated in Tech Fest organized by IIT Mumbai, India, in 2011 and 2013, showcasing their talents. The college's robotics club actively engages in various robotics competitions within Nepal, further enhancing the students' holistic development.
