Central Department of Linguistics (CDL) is located on the Kirtipur Campus of Tribhuvan University under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Established in May 1996, it aims to promote studies in linguistics leading to degrees in M.A. and Ph.D. Teaching and research programs seek to impart in-depth knowledge of linguistics and its practical applications in the Nepalese context
