Pre-registration

Brooklyn College, conveniently located in Sukedhara, Kathmandu, offers a comprehensive Bachelor of Arts (BA) program affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU). This four-year, eight-semester degree is designed to provide students with a broad and interdisciplinary understanding of human society, culture, thought, and communication. The BA program at Brooklyn College encourages critical thinking, analytical skills, and research capabilities, preparing graduates for diverse career paths in fields such as journalism, media, social work, public administration, international relations, education, research, civil service, and various creative industries.

The BA curriculum, carefully designed in accordance with the guidelines of Tribhuvan University, offers a comprehensive academic experience in the humanities and social sciences. Students must take compulsory subjects, including English and Nepali. They also have the flexibility to select major and elective subjects from a broad range of disciplines, enabling them to create a personalized academic journey based on their individual interests and career goals. Eligibility

  1. Students should have secured at least a D+ in all subjects in Grade 11 and Grade 12. 

OR

  1. Must have completed the intermediate, Proficiency Certificate, or 10+2 level, in Humanities, Science, or Management Stream from Tribhuvan University or from any other University or Board recognized by Tribhuvan University.

  2. Students desirous of studying Major English/Economics in the BA Program may do so, but are required to pass the Major English Subject within three years at +2 or PCL level, as recognized by TU, if they have not already studied this course at +2 or PCL Level.

  3. Students who have studied any other subject at the +2 or PCL level can apply for admission to Major subjects, such as Rural Development, Social Work, and Sociology, in the BA Program.

  4. Students desirous of studying Journalism and Mass Communication as a Major subject in the BA program must have studied Journalism/Mass Communication at +2 or PCL and can apply for the Journalism subject.
