The number of Nepalese students aspiring to earn foreign degrees is steadily increasing. Fortunately, many local colleges are partnering with foreign universities and offering foreign university–affiliated programs to cater to these aspirations. Students in Nepal can now access the same standard of education as abroad while studying at home. This approach is not only more affordable but also provides a high-quality academic experience.
As of August 2025, more than 30 foreign universities are operating in Nepal through local partner colleges. These affiliated colleges are not limited to Kathmandu; they are spread across different regions of the country, making international education more accessible.
The range of courses offered is also remarkably diverse. From Culinary Arts to Information Technology, and from Civil and Infrastructure Engineering to Fashion Technology, students have access to an extensive selection of degree programs that align with both global trends and local market needs.
