Master of Arts (MA) and PGD Entrance Exam Notice - Tribhuvan University

The Dean's Office, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Tribhuvan University, has announced the admission process for new students in Central Departments/Campuses and programs under the semester system for the academic year 2082/83 for Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) and Master's Degree (MA) programs.

- Application Submission Deadline with Regular Fee: Mangsir 07, 2082 (November 23, 2025) to Mangsir 27, 2082 (December 13, 2025) until 12 midnight
- Application Submission Deadline with Double Fee: Poush 3, 2082 (December 18, 2025) until 12 midnight
- Candidates can fill out the online application form HERE
- Application Fee: Rs. 1,500 (eSewa or Khalti)
- Entrance Examination Result Publication Date: Poush 24, 2082 (January 08, 2026) for Regular Programs and Poush 26, 2082 (January 10, 2026) for the Programs run under internal source
- Student Enrollment: Until the first week of Magh, 2082
- Classes will start: Magh 17, 2082 (January 31, 2026)
- Examination Center: will be published later via www.tufohss.edu.np
Eligibility
Students who have completed a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in the relevant subject from Tribhuvan University or any recognized institution and meet the criteria established by the respective subject committee are eligible to appear for the entrance examination. Applicants must upload a recent photograph and educational certificates from SLC/SEE to the Bachelor's level while completing the online application form.

Notes
- The entrance exam is worth 100 marks and consists of multiple-choice questions based on undergraduate-level subjects. The passing mark is set at 40%.
- Campuses, departments, and programs must verify online applications using the username and password provided by the Dean's Office. The Dean's Office will approve verified applications.
- Applicants can download their admission slips starting from Mangsir 06, 2082 (November 22, 2025), using their username and password.
- Each program must have a minimum enrollment of ten students to be conducted. Programs with at most ten students will not be offered.
