Master of Arts (MA) and PGD Entrance Exam Notice - Tribhuvan University

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences has announced that applicants who were unable to generate or print their admit cards due to technical reasons will still be allowed to appear in the entrance examination for Master’s and PGD programs under the semester system for the academic year 2025.
Eligible applicants who have submitted the online application and paid the required fee but were omitted from the triplicate list may take the exam by appearing at the designated examination center with proof of payment marked “Payment Received” and an original photo identity document, such as a citizenship certificate, passport, or national ID.

- Classes will start: Magh 17, 2082 (January 31, 2026)

Eligibility
Students who have completed a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in the relevant subject from Tribhuvan University or any recognized institution and meet the criteria established by the respective subject committee are eligible to appear for the entrance examination. Applicants must upload a recent photograph and educational certificates from SLC/SEE to the Bachelor's level while completing the online application form.

Notes
- The entrance exam is worth 100 marks and consists of multiple-choice questions based on undergraduate-level subjects. The passing mark is set at 40%.
- Campuses, departments, and programs must verify online applications using the username and password provided by the Dean's Office. The Dean's Office will approve verified applications.
- Applicants can download their admission slips starting from Mangsir 06, 2082 (November 22, 2025), using their username and password.
- Each program must have a minimum enrollment of ten students to be conducted. Programs with at most ten students will not be offered.
