Nepal Open University Announces Admission for MBA and MSDMG Programs

Update: January 22, 2026

Applicants who had already deposited the application fee of NPR 1,000 into the university’s bank account and submitted the application form by 2082/09/20 B.S., but were unable to appear in the entrance examination scheduled on 2082/10/03 B.S. due to technical reasons, are required to upload the necessary documents along with the application form to complete their application. This notice has been issued for the purpose of conducting the supplementary entrance examination.

Note:

1. This notice is applicable only to those applicants who had already submitted their applications by 2082/09/20 B.S. It is not for new applications.
2. Applicants appearing in the supplementary entrance examination must submit all required documents within the admission deadline set by the faculty. Otherwise, the university will not be responsible.

Deadline to upload required documents along with the application form: Magh 15, 2082

Date of supplementary entrance examination: Magh 24, 2082

Time of supplementary entrance examination: 10:00 AM

The Dean's Office, Faculty of Management and Law at Nepal Open University (NOU) has announced an extension for the submission of essential application documents for admission to the  Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science in Development Management and Governance (MSDMG) programs for the academic session 2082/83.

According to the notice issued on 2082/09/29, applicants for the MBA and MSDMG programs who have already submitted their initial applications for the 2082/83 intake, but have yet to provide their bank vouchers or other required paperwork now have additional time to complete their application process.

• Final Date and Time for Document Submission: 2082/09/30, (January 14, 2026) until 5:00 PM.

The procedure for submitting these remaining documents will remain the same as specified in the notice dated 2082/08/19.

Note: The schedules for the Entrance Examination and Orientation programs remain unchanged.

The Dean's Office, Faculty of Management and Law at Nepal Open University (NOU), has issued a notice inviting applications for admission to the two-year, four-semester Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science in Development Management and Governance (MSDMG)  for the academic session 2082/2083.

Key Details:

• Application Deadline: Poush 20, 2082  (January 4, 2026)
• Minimum Eligibility: Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of Second Division or a CGPA of 2.5 to be eligible for the programs.
• Application Fee: Rs. 1,000/-
• Entrance Exam Date: Magh 3, 2082, Saturday (January 17, 2026)
• Exam Time:
  • MBA: 11:00 AM
  • MSDMG: 3:00 PM
• Interview: The exact date and time for the interview will be published on the university's website.
• Entrance Exam Mode: The entrance examination will be conducted online.

Application Process:

1. Applicants must visit the university's website at www.nou.edu.np and navigate to the Student Portal.
2. Click on the "For Entrance Portal" link.
3. If it is the applicant's first time applying for entrance, they must complete the Online Form via the "Registration" link.
4. Applicants must scan and upload copies of all relevant educational certificates, passport-size photographs, and a copy of their Nepali citizenship certificate.
5. The application fee must be deposited into the Nepal Open University bank account at Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited, Kirtipur branch (Account No: 00501010000502).
6. Applicants must mandatorily include their name and phone number on the counterfoil (voucher) or proof of payment before scanning and uploading it with the application form.
