LLM Entrance Exam Notice 2081/82 - Tribhuvan University

Tribhuvan University, Faculty of Law, has published the examination schedule, including exam center, time, and symbol number for the upcoming LLM Entrance Exam for admission in the academic year 2081/2082. The LLM entrance examination is set to take place on Saturday, Mangsir 27, 2082. Candidates are assigned to one of two centres based on their symbol number:

Note: If there are any differences in the details of the candidates on the Admit Card, a request must be submitted via email to the Faculty of Law's email address, facultyoflaw1234@gmail.com, by the end of office hours on 2082/08/24.

Candidates can download the Admit Card as follows:

1. Visit the website www.fol.edu.np
2. Click on Online Application (LLM)
3. Click on Check your status/Print Admit Card
4. Fill out the form as shown
5. Click on the Download option
6. You will receive the Admit Card

If Users find a restriction on downloading, please follow the Add-on Instructions:

1. On your computer, open Chrome
2. At the top right, click More settings
3. Click privacy and security, Third-Party Cookies
4. Select an option: ALLOW Third-Party Cookies7

If Users find a restriction while downloading, use a MOBILE PHONE as an alternative.

Tribhuvan University, Faculty of Law (Dean's Office, Exhibition Road, Kathmandu), has opened applications for the LLM Entrance Exam in the first semester of the LL.M. program conducted under the semester system, a 4-semester (2-year) and 6-semester (3-year) program, for the academic year 2081/2082. Prospective students seeking admission to LLM programs at Tribhuvan University's constituent campuses and affiliated colleges can submit the online form.

• Application Form Closing Date: Mangsir 05, 2082 (November 21, 2025), till 12:00 am
• Application Form Closing Date with Double Fee: From Mangsir 06-12, 2082 (November 22 to November 28, 2025), till 12:00 am

While depositing the amount, the applicant’s full name and mobile number must be clearly mentioned. It is not allowed to deposit the fee for more than one applicant using the same mobile number.

• Entrance Examination Date: Mangsir 27, 2082 (December 13, 2025)

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have completed a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (B.A.LL.B.) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree by the deadline for submitting the entrance examination form.

Admission Notes

• Among Tribhuvan University’s constituent campuses:
• Nepal Law Campus, Exhibition Road, Kathmandu:
  • 50 seats for the 4-semester day group
  • 50 seats for the 6-semester morning group
• Prithvi Narayan Campus, Pokhara:
  • 35 seats for the 6-semester morning group
• National Law College (affiliated with Tribhuvan University):
  • 50 seats for the day group
• In total, 185 seats have been allocated.
• Foreign students may apply for the postgraduate program alongside domestic applicants through open competition. Those who rank within the top 5% of the merit list are eligible for admission to the respective campuses, subject to payment of the required fees.

Entrance Examination Details

The entrance exam is based on Jurisprudence, as per the syllabus of the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (B.A.LL.B.) program, and consists of 100 marks.

Notes

• "Others" includes minority, marginalized, and backward groups, as well as sexual and gender minorities and economically disadvantaged Khas Arya individuals.
• "Economically Disadvantaged Khas Arya" refers to members of the Khas Arya community certified as economically disadvantaged by the District Administration Office.
• "Khas Arya" encompasses the Chhetri, Brahmin, Thakuri, and Sanyasi (Dasnami) communities.
• "Disadvantaged Remote Area" denotes the districts of Mugu, Humla, Jumla, Kalikot, Dolpa, Achham, Bajhang, Bajura, and Jajarkot.

• One recent passport-sized photograph
• Nepali Citizenship Certificate
• Mark sheet of SEE/SLC or equivalent examination
• Mark sheet (transcript) of the 10+2 level
• Equivalence certificate for 10+2 level qualifications from boards other than the National Examination Board (Nepal Government)
• Transcript of Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent degree
• Equivalence certificate from Tribhuvan University for degrees obtained from foreign universities
• Relevant documents or recommendation letters for reserved category applicants
• Applicant's signature

Note

Students who have completed their undergraduate studies from universities or institutions other than Tribhuvan University, whether domestic or international, are required to provide the following at the time of admission to the respective campus:

• An equivalence certificate issued by Tribhuvan University
• The original migration certificate from the respective university or institution
• A certified copy of the migration certificate
