Admissions Open for MSc in Environmental Science and Engineering at KU School of Science

Kathmandu University, School of Science is announcing admissions for Master's Programs for 2025 in the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering.

Available Programs

• M.Sc. in Environmental Science
• M.E. in Environmental Engineering
• Master by Research in Environmental Science
• Master by Research in Environmental Engineering

Admission Requirements

• Candidates need a 4-year undergraduate/bachelor's degree in a basic science or related field.
• A minimum 2.0 CGPA or 50% aggregate score is required.
• For the Master by Research programs, candidates need a 4-year undergraduate/bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 CGPA or a first-division grade.
• Candidates with a 3-year undergraduate degree must complete a one-year bridge course, which is available in some programs.

Application Process

• Application forms are available at the administrative office of the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, School of Science, Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Kavre.
• Forms can also be downloaded from the university's website: https://sos.ku.edu.np/downloads-628
• A bank voucher for the application fee of Nrs. 2000/- must be deposited at any branch of Nepal Investment Mega Bank Ltd, account no. 00501030255530.
• The completed application form, along with the bank voucher and photocopies of previous academic and citizenship certificates, must be submitted to the administrative office of the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering.
• The deadline to submit applications is 21 September 2025 (Ashwin 5, 2082 BS).
• Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test and/or interview.
