MECEE- PG 2026: Entrance Application Form Open

Medical Education Commission calls for online applications for the postgraduate common entrance examination 2026 for the following health professional programs run by all Universities, affiliated colleges, and Health Science Academies throughout the country.

1. MD/MS (Doctor of Medicine/Master of Surgery)/NBMS Specialties
2. MD Ayurveda (Kayachikitsa)
3. Master in Nursing/ MSc Nursing/ MSc Midwifery
4. MPH (Master of Public Health)/MSc PH (Master of Science in Public Health), MPHN, MHPE, MPH (Public Health Service Management)
5. MPhil in Clinical Psychology
6. MDS (Master of Dental Surgery)
7. Master in Pharmacy (M.Pharm), MSc Pharmacy, Master of Pharmaceutical Science, Pharm D (Post Baccalaureate)
8. MSc MIT (Master of Science in Medical Imaging Technology)
9. MSc Clinical/ Medical Biochemistry & MSc Clinical Medical Microbiology
10. MMP (Master's in Medical Physics)
11. MPT (Master of Physiotherapy)

Key Information

• For Nepalese Candidates: NPR 5000/- (Rs. Five Thousand) or equivalent, excluding bank charges
• For Foreign Candidates: NPR 8000/- (Rs. Eight Thousand) or equivalent, excluding bank charges
• Application Form Distribution Starts: Mangsir 19, 2082 (December 05, 2025), 10:00 AM
• Application Submission Deadline: Poush 11, 2082; 3:00 PM (NST)  (December 26, 2025)
• Application Submission Deadline with Double Fee: Poush 18, 2082 (January 2, 2026)
• The entrance examination centre will be inside the Kathmandu valley, which will be mentioned in the admit card. 

Application is open to eligible Nepalese and Foreign candidates through an online application available at https://entrance.mec.gov.np/account/login  

First Day of Exam: 2082/10/24 (7 February 2026): 11 AM to 2 PM

2. Master's in Pharmacy (M.Pharm)

4. MSc Clinical/ Medical Biochemistry & MSc Clinical Medical Microbiology
5. MMP (Master's in Medical Physics)

PG Seats (MD/MS, MDS, MSc/MN) in Nepal

National Medical Education Act 2075 has envisioned the common entrance examination to be conducted by the Medical Education Commission for enrollment of students in various programs and colleges throughout the country. Medical Education Commission bears the responsibility to conduct Postgraduate Entrance Examination in the current academic year.

Further Instructions 

1. It is mandatory to submit the application form before the application deadline for any one of the categories:
   1. Foreign candidates to appear in MECEE PG 2026
   2. Foreign candidates NOT to appear in MECEE PG 2026, but qualified in the national level entrance of their respective countries, as a second priority for the remaining seats.
2. Foreign candidates appearing MECEE PG 2026 must score at least 50 percent in the entrance exam to qualify for matching.
3. Foreign candidates NOT appearing MECEE PG 2026 must have at least 50% in the national-level entrance examination of their respective countries. (If the result is in percentile, the candidates must have scored 50 percentile or above)
4. If the number of qualified foreign candidates is less than the allocated seats for foreign candidates, candidates will get single opportunity for matching.
5. If the seats remain vacant after the first matching for foreign candidates as stated in (4), remaining seats will be available to the foreign candidates who have qualified in their national level entrance examination of respective level in their countries and agreed to remain in the second priority.
6. All the remaining seats henceforth will be allocated to Nepalese open (paying) seats.
7. Selected foreign candidates are required to produce relevant original documents at the time of admission and are required to register in respective professional council of Nepal before the commencement of the academic session.
8. Candidates who submit the fake documents will be liable for legal actions as per prevailing rule and regulations of Nepal.
9. Candidates upon admission should abide by the rules and regulations of the respective academic institutions. Private practice is not allowed during the training period.
10. Medical Education Common Entrance Examination Committee reserves all the rights regarding entrance examination.
