MSc Forestry Entrance Exam Form Fill Up Notice From Agriculture and Forestry University 2082

The Faculty of Forestry at Agriculture and Forestry University, Hetauda, has announced the opening of admissions for the M.Sc. Forestry program for the academic session 2082/83. Interested candidates can now submit their application forms online. 

Key details:

• Application Submission Begins: Kartik 2, 2082 (October 19, 2025)
• Application submission deadline: Mangsir 7, 2082 (November 23, 2025), till midnight
• Application Fee: NPR 3,000 (three thousand rupees), which must be paid online through e-payment while submitting the application form.

Eligibility

• Applicants must have passed B.Sc. (Forestry) or an equivalent examination.
  Applications that do not meet the minimum qualification requirements will be disqualified, and such candidates will not be allowed to appear in the entrance examination.

Online Application Requirements

• Academic transcripts and certificates of qualification
• Citizenship certificate
• Recent passport-size photograph (showing both ears)
• Sample of the applicant’s signature

Candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent program from a university or educational institution other than those established by the Government of Nepal must also submit an Equivalence Certificate along with the original or provisional certificate.

Admission Criteria

Admission will be based on a Merit List, calculated as follows:

• 90% weightage from the entrance examination
• 10% weightage from the Bachelor’s level academic performance
  The minimum pass mark for the entrance exam is 40%.

Entrance Examination Format

The question paper will include 90 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) based on the undergraduate forestry curriculum, to be completed within 70 minutes.

Admission Quota Details

Admission to the M.Sc. Forestry program will be based on merit under the following categories:

As per the MoU between AFU’s Faculty of Forestry and the Ministry of Forests and Environment, nominees recommended by the Ministry will be included under the UDF quota.
If any admitted student cancels their enrollment, the seat will be transferred to the UDF quota, and the next candidate in the merit list will be offered admission accordingly.

Documents Required for Admission

All original documents and certificates submitted during the application process must be presented in original form at the time of admission. The following documents are required:

a. Three (3) passport-size photographs
b. Original Nepali citizenship certificate
c. Original SLC (School Leaving Certificate) transcript and character certificate
d. Original transcript and character certificate of the Certificate Level or Grade 12
e. Original or provisional Certificate Level or Grade 12 certificate
f. Original Bachelor’s level transcript and character certificate
g. Original or provisional Bachelor’s level certificate
h. Equivalence Certificate (if the Bachelor’s degree was obtained from a university outside Nepal)
i. Original recommendation letter from the concerned authority for admission under a specific quota
j. Original admit card of the entrance examination
