
The Faculty of Forestry at Agriculture and Forestry University, Hetauda, has announced the opening of admissions for the M.Sc. Forestry program for the academic session 2082/83. Interested candidates can now submit their application forms online.
Candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent program from a university or educational institution other than those established by the Government of Nepal must also submit an Equivalence Certificate along with the original or provisional certificate.
Admission will be based on a Merit List, calculated as follows:
The question paper will include 90 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) based on the undergraduate forestry curriculum, to be completed within 70 minutes.

As per the MoU between AFU’s Faculty of Forestry and the Ministry of Forests and Environment, nominees recommended by the Ministry will be included under the UDF quota.
If any admitted student cancels their enrollment, the seat will be transferred to the UDF quota, and the next candidate in the merit list will be offered admission accordingly.
All original documents and certificates submitted during the application process must be presented in original form at the time of admission. The following documents are required:
a. Three (3) passport-size photographs
b. Original Nepali citizenship certificate
c. Original SLC (School Leaving Certificate) transcript and character certificate
d. Original transcript and character certificate of the Certificate Level or Grade 12
e. Original or provisional Certificate Level or Grade 12 certificate
f. Original Bachelor’s level transcript and character certificate
g. Original or provisional Bachelor’s level certificate
h. Equivalence Certificate (if the Bachelor’s degree was obtained from a university outside Nepal)
i. Original recommendation letter from the concerned authority for admission under a specific quota
j. Original admit card of the entrance examination
