Admission Open for PhD in Health Sciences 2024 - Pokhara University

The Faculty of Health Sciences at Pokhara University has announce that admissions are now open for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Health Sciences for the 2024 session.

This program entails 18 credits of comprehensive coursework (consisting of 12 mandatory credit hours and 6 specialization credit hours) followed by 42 credits dedicated to original research within chosen specializations.

• Application Form Submission Deadline: Jestha 11, 2081 (May 24, 2024)
• Entrance Examination: Jestha 14, 2081 (May 27, 2024), 11 AM
• Personal Interview: Jestha 16, 2081 (May 29, 2024), 8 AM onwards
• Venue for Entrance Examination and Personal Interview: Faculty of Health Sciences, Pokhara University
• Final Result Publication Date: Jestha 18, 2081 (May 31, 2024)
• Orientation Program: Jestha 27, 2081 (June 09, 2024)
• Course Work Class Begins: Jestha 28, 2081 (June 10, 2024)

Eligibility for PhD in Health Sciences

Applicant should have completed master’s degree in related discipline relevant to the proposed major in PhD program, should have registered in relevant professional council and should fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria to enroll as a PhD candidate. The admission to PhD in Health Science program is based on candidate’s academic documents, recommendation, and statement of purpose, research synopsis, research publication, entrance examination, and interview.

The PhD candidate should meet the following specific qualifications to apply:

1. Two years working experience for those who have passed Master Level with 3.00/4.00 CGPA or high Second Division (55%).
2. One year working experience for those who have passed Master Level with 3.30/4.00 CGPA or First Division.
3. There will be no requirement of working experience for those who have passed Master Level with 3.75/4.00 CGPA or Distinction Division.
