Admission Open for MSc Mountain and Mountaineering Science (MMS) - Tribhuvan University

Tribhuvan University, Institute of Science and Technology has published the entrance examination for the newly launched Master of Science in Mountain and Mountaineering Science program for the academic year 2079. The program will be run at Nepal Mountain Academy (NMA). 

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have completed a Bachelor degree with a minimum of 50% or a CGPA of 2.00 in the following disciplines:

• B.Sc in General Science or equivalent
• B.Sc Forestry or equivalent
• B.Sc Agriculture or equivalent
• B.E in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Bachelor in Physical Geography or equivalent
• Bachelor of Mountaineering Studies (BMS) with +2 in Science
• B.Sc CSIT (B.Sc Computer Science and Information Technology).

Application form is available at IOST, TU and Nepal Mountain Academy (NMA) from 11 Falgun, 2079. 

• Application Deadline with normal fee: Chaitra 15, 2079 (March 29, 2023)
• Application Deadline with late fee: Chaitra 22 2079 (April 05, 2023)
• Application Fee: NPR 2100
• Entrance exam date: Chaitra 25, 2079 (April 08, 2023); 10 AM to 12 PM.

Required Documents

• Certificates and testimonials of all examinations passed
• Two recent passport-sized photographs
• Equivalency certificate if the students have their bachelor's degree in science from a foreign board.
