Located in Lainchour, Kathmandu, NIST Higher Education comprises three colleges: National College, National College of Food Science and Technology (NCFST), and National Model College of Advanced Learning (NMCAL). The institute is currently accepting applications for the following master's programs:
For Master's in Business Studies: Applicants for the MBS program must complete the application with all personal information and past academic records. Student selection will be based on the CMAT, which follows the GMAT and GRE formats. The admission test will focus on verbal ability, quantitative ability, business and economics, and general awareness. The CMAT will consist of 100 questions, with 25 in each section. Applicants must secure at least 40 percent on the CMAT to qualify for admission.
For MSc Microbiology: Students should have passed B.Sc Microbiology or equivalent from Tribhuvan University or universities recognized by Tribhuvan University.
For MSc Biotechnology: Candidates with a Bachelor's degree securing 50% in any biology streams such as Biotechnology, Agricultural Science, Biochemistry, Medicine, Environmental Science (with Chemistry and Biology), Medical Lab Technology (BMLT), Food Technology, and B.Sc. with Chemistry and Biological Sciences (Botany, Microbiology, or Zoology) from Tribhuvan University or equivalent degrees from other recognized institutes or universities are eligible to apply.
