Tribhuvan University Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS) announces applications open for entrance examination for admission to BSc Agriculture/Horticulture, and BVSc & AH programs, in affiliated and constituent campuses, for the academic year 2082/83.

Candidates willing to sit for the entrance examination are requested to fill the form online with a marksheet, a character certificate, a citizenship photocopy, and passport-sized photos.

  • Application Starts from: Bhadra 23, 2082  ( September 8, 2025)
  • Application Form Submission Date: Ashoj 22, 2082 ( October 8, 2025, till 12 Midnight)
  • Admit card distribution: from Ashoj 30, 2082 (October 16, 2025 onwards)
  • Entrance Exam Date: Kartik 1, 2082 (October 18, 2025)
  • Entrance Exam Time: 11 AM to 12:30 PM
  • Result publication: Kartik 2, 2082 (October 19, 2025)
  • Merit list publication: Kartik 3, 2082 (October 20, 2025)
  • Entrance Examination Center: Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur

Entrance Exam and Form Fee

For one program: Rs. 3500.

For multiple programs: Rs. 5000

The fee can only be paid online through the site: entrance.iaas.edu.np 

Eligibility

  • The applicant must have passed 10+2 (Agriculture or Science) or I.Sc. (Agriculture/Animal/Forestry Science) or possess an equivalent qualification.
  • Applicants must have studied English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics (each with a full mark of 100) at the aforementioned level and secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or achieved a minimum aggregate grade of C+ or GPA of 2.4 under the Letter Grading System. Additionally, a marksheet showing a minimum grade of C or equivalent in the subject of Mathematics must also be uploaded.

Required Documents

  • If the applicant possesses only the Class 12 Transcript and not the 10+2 Aggregate Transcript, the Class 12 Transcript will be considered as the basis for eligibility. In this case, the applicant must create a single PDF file containing the Class 12 Transcript along with the Class 11 Marksheet and upload it.
  • Applicants who have passed Class 11 and are uploading their Class 12 Admit Card may apply, but must present the 10+2 Mark Sheet along with all specified documents at the time of enrollment.
  • Applicants who are currently studying (OJT) or who have completed OJT may use their Admit Card to apply if their Mark Sheet is not yet available. However, at the time of final enrollment on the stipulated date, they must present the original complete set of documents (including the Mark Sheet and certificates) confirming they have achieved the minimum grade requirement (2.4 GPA or C+).
  • Applicants who have obtained their certificates from educational institutions outside Nepal must compulsorily present the original Equivalence Certificate at the time of enrollment.

 

 

Quotas (Merit and Reserved)

Candidates who pass the entrance examination will be admitted to the undergraduate level B.Sc Agriculture/Horticulture conducted under the affiliated and related campuses/colleges. 

As per the provisions of the prevailing rules, if there is a provision for reservation quota, other applicants besides the reserved quota students will be admitted to the reserved quota upon submission of the required certificates obtained from the respective authorities. Action will only be taken if the mentioned certificates are included in the application. 

Admission in all quotas will be made according to merit order.

a. Disabled Quota: National Disabled Federation or the respective District Administration Office.

b. Indigenous/Nationality Quota: National Indigenous Upliftment Institution or the respective District Administration Office.

c. Dalit Quota: National Dalit Commission or the respective District Administration Office.

d. Madhesi Quota: District Administration Office of the respective district.

e. Tharu Quota: National Indigenous Upliftment Institution or the respective District Administration Office.

f. Other Quotas (Minority, Displaced, Backward Class, Sexual and Gender Minority, Economically Disadvantaged Arya): The respective Village Municipality/Municipality/District Administration Office.

g. Local Quota: The concerned campus will notify based on documentation. A 5% local quota has been determined in the annexed programs and related campuses/colleges. If there is a need for local campuses, additional seats will be allocated to the approved quota in affiliated campuses/colleges.

h. Staff Quota: The applicant's certified citizenship certificate and recommendation letter are from the relevant campus staff/employee or the respective campus. Regular quotas are not included. If there are more applicants than the specified number, in case of competition, if there is more than one dependent applicant from one family, only one individual from one family will be provided quota in one educational program.
