Admission Open for ME in Electrical Power Engineering - KUSoE

Kathmandu University, School of Engineering (KUSOE),  announces an extension of the application submission deadline for new admission in the Master of Engineering (ME) in Electrical Power Engineering. The application submission deadline, which was set till October 7, 2025, has been extended to October 31, 2025 (Friday, Kartik 15, 2082 BS).

Kathmandu University, School of Engineering, announces admission open for ME in Electrical Power Engineering, a 2-year (4-semester) full-time study program, for the academic year 2025. Admission is open for Nepalese as well as foreign students.

Eligibility for ME in Electrical Power Engineering

A candidate with a four-year Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Electrical Major), or related discipline, securing a minimum of 50% marks on aggregate or a CGPA of 2.0 (on a maximum 4-point grading system) from any recognized institution will be eligible for application. Any false/unethical documents found submitted by the applicant will disqualify the admission process at any time.

Submission of Applications

• Eligible candidates must complete the online application form available on the KU Website- https://apply.ku.edu.np/admission/
• The application fee is NRs. 2,000/- (non-refundable) and must be paid to Nepal Investment Mega Bank Limited, A/C no.: 00501030255547.
• Candidates must submit a scanned copy of their payment voucher, a photograph, and copies of their certificates, transcripts, and nationality documents via email or to the concerned department.
• An entrance card will be sent via email on the day of the admission test. 

Selection Procedure

Admission Test

• The admission test will consist of a written test (70 Marks) and an interview (30 Marks). The written test will have subjective questions (20 marks) and objective questions (50 marks). The written test duration is 1.5 hours. A minimum of 40% marks in the written test would be selected for the interview.
• Selected candidates from the admission test will be notified for an interview, and candidates must bring their original documents to the interview. Successful candidates passing both the written test and the interview would be selected for admission based on a merit list.
